Welcome to Long Days

My style falls into that weird place where Elvira meets Pee-wee Herman, I’m a fan of mid 20th century nostalgia in all its forms. You’ll find me in antique and oddities shops, record stores and tiki bars, as well as natural history museums and historic parks and neighborhoods (and of course all the most delicious restaurants, cafes and food trucks I can find). I use my job as a flight attendant as a springboard to adventure, a tour across the country without the band. Let me be your guide to eclectic and eccentric travel across North America, from the big cities to the small towns and everything in between.

I usually have a short amount of time in a city and rely on public transportation. Some days I get up early to get out and explore and I’m back at the end of the day, going into the night making it a really long day.

I am a novice to blogging but I figured I was already doing half of the work by plotting my exploration and taking photos. Now it’s time to document and share. The photos from my recent trips were already taken without the intention of blogging. I don’t have a fancy camera and my MacBook Air is about 9 years old. Even though WordPress is supposed to be easy, I’m still figuring out how to navigate it. I’m open to suggestions so feel free to send feedback. I’m hoping this blog may help guide people through cities and take them off the beaten path. Maybe make some new friends while I’m out on the road, if you see me- say hi!
