Cocktails & Screams is a year round macabre, Halloween and horror movie themed bar in Orlando, FL that opened in 2019. I saw photos of their skull bathroom sinks online and that was enough to get me to drive just over 2 hours from where I was staying in Jacksonville, FL.
I looked at their website to make sure they were open but didn’t really “look” close enough- They had been sold out for their “13 Days of Halloween” events so when I arrived I was informed that unfortunately no entry without an event ticket but I could be placed on a standby list.
Luckily, I arrived just before 7pm when they opened and they were able to clear me for entry. The door staff and security were very accommodating. I love when I come across a place that is aesthetically cool but also has an awesome group of people working there that really makes a place feel like community.
Another patron told me to make sure I check out their speakeasy style bar “The Craft” which is a witch themed bar that offers Tarot card readings. Reservations need to be made through the Tock app.
They offer VIP and reserved seating. The Addams Family VIP room is $600 and includes a $300 bar tab.
They have a stage and offer performances and special events.
In the days of the service industry being short staffed and ongoing supply shortages, trying to mentally navigate this pandemic and political climate – it was incredibly refreshing to find a welcoming place where everyone seemed to be having a good time.
A great way to end another long day.
